2026 Annual Appeal
A letter from Executive Director Benjamin T. OuYang, Ph.D.
Dear USCCA Family,
I hope you are enjoying the cooler days of fall and time with family and friends.
At our USCCA Conference in Houston this summer, I met Father Dave, a priest from New Orleans who ministers within the Chinese Catholic community. As he reflected on the Conference, he spoke not only about what he had learned, but about something perhaps even more important: he was reminded that he is not alone.
That simple observation captures something essential about the mission of the US-China Catholic Association.
The USCCA brings together people who might otherwise never find one another—priests and parishioners, scholars and students, Chinese Catholics and friends of China, people with decades of experience and those just beginning to discover this ministry. Through these relationships, we strengthen one another in faith, friendship, and service.
Our gathering in Houston was one expression of that mission. We are taking steps to carry it forward throughout the year. New USCCA Happy Hour conversations are bringing people together between conferences. A Chinese-language Book Study is creating another opportunity for faith and learning. The Membership program offers opportunities for fellowship and mutual learning. Expanded communications and bilingual resources are helping us reach Chinese Catholic parishes, missions, families, and friends.
As these efforts grow, so does the financial support required to sustain them. Your gift to the USCCA Annual Appeal helps us create programs and resources, welcome new participants, strengthen our outreach, and build a community in which people like Father Dave—and the parishes, students, families, and communities they serve—know that they are not alone.
This is Faith in Action: Sharing Our Blessings to Strengthen Our USCCA Community.
Our Board of Directors is joining in this effort through membership, personal giving, and inviting others to support the mission. Our annual appeal goal is to raise 80K. I invite you to consider making a gift to the USCCA Annual Appeal through this link:

God bless,
