Speaker Series Events

On July 31, 2025, the USCCA's speaker series, in collaboration with ChinaSource and China Academic Consortium, hosted Dr. Stephanie Wong as speaker on the topic of "Christian-Confucian Dialogue in the Contemporary World."

Dr. Stephanie M. Wong is an assistant professor at Villanova University, where she teaches classes in Catholic theology, Chinese religious and philosophical traditions, and on comparative theology and inter-religious relations in East Asia. Dr. Wong will share about contemporary efforts in the Catholic Church to carry forward dialogue with Confucian communities in East Asia and around the world.

Book Circle

In USCCA Book Circle Discussions, participants have gathered virtually from around the world to discuss dialogues between Catholics in the U.S. and in China.

In 2025, Book Circle participants are reading Chinese Humanism and Christian Spirituality, wherein the Catholic Chinese legal scholar John C. H. Wu presents traditional Chinese philosophy in the light of his Catholic faith.

Chinese and American Friendship Ministry

The Chinese and American Friendship Ministry (CAAFM) aims to broaden engagement with students from China who come to the U.S. for university education.

As an association, we have spent the last year in discernment and dialogue with partners and stakeholders across the U.S. We've also welcomed two new board members, Kathleen O'Brien and Alfred Gui, who serve as co-chairs of the Chinese and American Friendship Ministry.
