CONNECTING CHINESE AND AMERICANS IN
FRATERNITY, FAITH, AND MUTUAL RESPECT

Since its inception in 1989, the US-China Catholic Association has had the blessing of bringing church leaders, scholars, graduate students, journalists, and other interested individuals to China with the purpose of helping them better understand Chinese society and the circumstances of the Christians who live there.

In addition, you are given the opportunity to experience some of the great cultural and historical sites of China, as well as enjoy the expansive diversity of China’s famous cuisines.

These unique study tours include dedicated and knowledgeable tour leaders who provide background and unparalleled commentary.  Our trustworthy local Chinese partners provide complete logistical support.  And most study tours include a chaplain and spiritual guide.

In addition, our study tours include translators who are familiar with the world of faith. As a result, will hear firsthand the accounts of lay Catholics, church leaders, seminarians, priests, and sisters. Whenever possible, our study tours also include engagement with representatives of other Christian communities, as well.

Not only are USCCA study tours an opportunity to gain a deep appreciation of the struggles and triumphs of our Chinese brothers and sisters as they witness to their faith. They enable us, and you, as well, to have the privilege of building bridges between Church members in China and in the U.S.

Our next Study Tour will be held October 11–23, 2025, in mainland China; you may click here to view the itinerary for this upcoming October 2025 Study Tour. This Study Tour's agenda includes such destinations as Beijing North Cathedral, Chengde Imperial Summer Resort, and Shenyang Forbidden City. If you are able to join us for this trip, please click here to register today for the October 2025 Study Tour.

Find out what the faithful are doing to promote the Gospel in contemporary society

In this video, Professor Anthony Clark leads a pilgrimage so that participants could meet Catholics in contemporary society and understand the role of the Church in local history. It was a moving experience for all.

The US-China Catholic Association was founded in 1989 by concerned U.S. bishops, Maryknoll, the Jesuits, and representatives of other religious orders in order to promote mutual support and fraternal ties between the Church in China and the U.S. Church.
