Bus and Guided Tour
Join us on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM for a tour of a few of Chicago's most unique holy and public sites:
-
Holy Name Cathedral: The Gothic revival cathedral of the Archdiocese of Chicago, built after the Chicago Fire of 1871 destroyed the old cathedral.
-
Millennium Park: a park on Lake Michigan, featuring public art, including the famous Cloud Gate (the Bean).
-
Old St. Patrick's Catholic Church: Chicago's oldest public building, decorated in the Celtic Revival style, based on the Book of Kells.
-
St. Therese Chinese Catholic Church: the home of the Chinese Catholic community in Chicago.
The tour will be led by Dr. William Cavanaugh, professor of Catholic Studies at DePaul University. A bus will take us from site to site, but there will be some walking involved, especially at the Millennium Park, so comfortable walking shoes are advised. This tour is limited to 40 guests at a cost of $40 per person.
Cancellation Policy:
IMPORTANT: All registration and housing fees are final and non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the Conference, your registration and housing fees (if applicable) will be designated as a donation to the USCCA; you will receive a Charitable Donation Letter for this purpose for the 2024 tax year.
