Air Travel to the Conference

Participants can fly to either Chicago O'Hare (ORD) or Chicago Midway (MDW).

Travel by Taxi/Ride Share: 

We recommend you give your driver the exact address of the residence hall where you will be staying. 

The two options are:

From O'Hare:

Going from O'Hare to DePaul University campus takes approximately 25 minutes with no traffic. The approximate cost is $40-50 USD plus gratuity. The map below is a typical taxi route from ORD. View the route on Google Maps here.

From Midway:
Going from Midway to DePaul University campus takes approximately 30 minutes with no traffic. The approximate cost is $40-50 USD plus gratuity. The map to the right is a typical taxi route from MDW. View the route on Google Maps here.

Travel by Public Transportation from O'Hare:
Using the CTA, board the Blue line  at the “O’Hare Airport” stop to the “Clark/Lake” stop, then transfer to the Brown line, and get off at  the “Fullerton” stop (this route takes approximately 60 minutes.) View on Google Maps here.

The CTA “Fullerton” stop is right across from the campus (about a 3-minute walk to the conference site).

Visitor Parking (daytime only):

Paid and limited free street parking is available on campus. The parking garage at 2331 N. Sheffield offers validated parking for $12 before 4pm and $9 after 4pm.

Overnight Parking (for people lodging on campus):

All visitors coming to campus should be directed to park their vehicle in Clifton Parking Deck located at 2330 N. Clifton. The DePaul rate will be given if a validated ticket is presented to the attendant. Parking validation machines are located throughout campus including Student Center 1st floor, SAC, Theatre School and Richardson Library.

Lodging

Lodging During the Conference (On-Campus)

DePaul University offers onsite accommodations in two residence halls. Doubles rooms are $140 a night ($70 / person). 

1. BELDEN-RACINE HALL

Check-In: DePaul University requires that check-in should occur between 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Check-out must occur by 10:00 am. The USCCA will attempt to arrange exceptions to these requirements if you contact Xin Chen, USCCA Conference Coordinator (admin@uscatholicchina.org) at least fifteen (15) days ahead of your arrival.

Lodging During the Conference (Off-Campus)

Since conference site is close to CTA “Fullerton” stop, one may:

1. Stay at a hotel in downtown Chicago area
2. Stay at a hotel or Airbnb close to any of the CTA Brown line and Red line stops.

Dinner: On your own. Please see off-site dining options below.

Keynote reception with light refreshments.

Saturday, August 5

Breakfast: Optional add-on with registration for Saturday

Lunch: Included for all who register for Saturday

Dinner: The award banquet is an optional add-on with registration for Saturday.
 
The award banquet is also open to those who do not attend conference through a separate registration.
 
For those who do not attend the Ricci Award Banquet, dinner is on your own. Please see off-site dining options below.

Sunday, August 6

Breakfast: Optional add-on with registration for Sunday

Lunch: Included for all who register for Sunday.
A grab-n-go option will be available for those on a schedule.

Dinner: On your own. Please see off-site dining options below.

Off-Site Dining

A good selection of inexpensive eateries and restaurants can be found on Fullerton Avenue and east of campus on Lincoln Avenue.
