Air Travel to the Conference

NORMAN Y. MINETA SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SJC)

San Jose International Airport is the nearest airport to Santa Clara University.

 

Driving * Airport van (such as SuperShuttle) * Taxi

Going from SJC to Santa Clara University takes approximately 12 minutes (under normal
traffic conditions).

Public Transit 

The VTA Airport Flyer (also listed as Bus #10) (route schedule) runs
from San Jose International Airport to the Santa Clara Transit Center, which is just across
from the campus (about a 7 minute walk to the conference site).

SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SFO)

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is further from the Santa Clara University
campus, but is also quite accessible.

 

Driving * Airport van (such as SuperShuttle) * Taxi

Going from SFO to Santa Clara University takes approximately 40 to 45 minutes (outside
of rush hours).

CalTrain (the local commuter train)

The CalTrain station station nearest SFO is the San Bruno CalTrain Station (station site). It is 1.2 miles from SFO to San Bruno. The train stops at the Santa Clara Transit Center, which is just across from the campus (about a 7 minute walk to the conference site). The train ride takes 1¼ hours.

Dinner – Ricci Award Banquet honoring Brent Fulton and Joann Pittman.

Optional add-on with registration for Saturday. Also open to those who do not attend conference. For those who do not attend the Ricci Award Banquet, dinner is on your own.

Inexpensive student eateries can be found south of campus on Lafayette Street, Washington Street, and Park Avenue.

The neighborhood around Franklin and Monroe, also within walking distance, has a good selection of restaurants.

From San Francisco / East Bay: CalTrain

Take the commuter line to the Santa Clara Transit Center, which is just across from the
campus (1) (about a 7 minute walk to the conference site).

From beyond the Bay Area: Amtrak

Amtrak stops at the Santa Clara Transit Center (1) just across from the Santa Clara
University campus. Be sure to select the proper station when buying your ticket. Use
code SSC on Amtrak’s site.

 

Parking for Commuters and others

Conference attendees may park on grounds of the campus. Enter at the Palm Drive entrance, (500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95053).

Cost is $5 per entrance, so please bring exact change.

 

The guards will direct you to the Visitor Parking Center (1) or Visitor Parking Center (2).

 

Charney Hall / the Law School Building (3) is the main site for all conference events. It is only a four minute walk from the Visitor Parking (2).
